Baseball and Oakford

In fact, an Oakford man by the name of Sam Dailey made it all the way to the Major Leagues, playing one season in 1929 for the Philadelphia Phillies. According to Baseball Almanac, he pitched in 20 games that season and finished with a record of 2 wins and 2 losses. His era was 7.54.

I think he might be the most famous person from Oakford, and yet no one has ever heard of him.
